Engineer by profession. He has the title of Executive Master of Business Administration. A graduate of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Wrocław University of Technology and the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
He has participated in numerous management, production management and trade courses.

Professionally associated with Huta Stalowa Wola since 2007. He began his professional career as a design engineer, successively climbing its levels in the development division of HSW S.A. Since 2015, the Development Director of HSW S.A.

As an engineer responsible, among others, for the design and implementation of the 120 mm self-propelled mortar RAK and 155 mm self-propelled howitzer KRAB to arm the Polish Armed Forces.
As a manager, an active participant in structural and organizational changes at HSW SA, responsible for building the technological and developmental potential of the Company, including the implementation of development projects, among others: 30 mm Remotely Controlled Tower System, New Amphibious Infantry Fighting Infantry Vehicle, BAOBAB Scattered Mine laying  Vehicle and WR-40 Langusta. He was responsible for the successful project of acquiring, integrating and polonizing the KRAB howitzer currently produced
at HSW S.A.

He has many years of managerial experience in managing project teams and human resources.

From July 2016, Member of the Management Board of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. He participated in the negotiation process for the supply of four division fire modules codenamed "REGINA" - one of the largest contracts in the history of the Polish defense industry.

Supervisory Board of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. after the qualification procedure, on December 21, 2018, has appointed Bartłomiej Zając as President of the Management Board, General Director of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A.
