Huta Stalowa Wola signed a cooperation agreement with Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz - Przemysłowy Instytut Motoryzacji (the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Industrial Motorization Institute)

On 26.08.2019, Huta Stalowa Wola signed with the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Industrial Motorization Institute an agreement on cooperation in conducting joint research, development, and implementation projects.

 The cooperation will result in research on modern solutions in the field of vehicles, combat vehicles, automation technologies and remote systems, as well as scientific works and publications in this field. HSW S.A. and Łukasiewicz Research Network will be able to use mutually owned infrastructure and research equipment under the signed contract.

 Both sides of the agreement declared cooperation on new projects that are to bring not only the latest technological solutions, but also give the prospect of commercializing the effects of joint research and development activities. Partners want to participate in projects that can obtain external financing.

 Huta Stalowa Wola SA conducts research and development and implementation activities. It employs over 150 engineers and constructors. Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. is a producer of military products in the following segments: artillery equipment (including autonomous, self-propelled, and towed equipment), light armored wheeled and tracked transporters as well as engineering equipment. HSW S.A. has developed its own unique strategy consisting of offering and delivering products incorporated into complete fire modules. HSW S.A. also carries out cooperative activities, i.e. production of products and performance of technical services on the basis of created or entrusted technical documentation.

Łukasiewicz Research Network - Industrial Motorization Institute is a research institute conducting scientific research and development works in the field of motorization. They include all actions aimed at improving parts, assemblies and equipment of vehicles, improving road safety. Scientific and research interest also includes alternative vehicle power sources, including methane fuels and electric drives (hybrid, hydrogen).

Given the current trends in the field of vehicle electrification, the Institute develops competence in the area of working on autonomous vehicles. The Institute's research infrastructure and substantive knowledge and rights of employees also allow testing of vehicles and their equipment intended for uniformed services. The works are innovative and meet the needs of entrepreneurs and the economy.

Łukasiewicz Research Network - Industrial Motorization Institute provides substantive support for state administration bodies implementing strategic goals related to transport safety, environmental protection and national security.
