Mr. Bernard Cichocki, President of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. since July 2016

Manager specializing in conducting complicated business and investment projects, with several years of experience in managing large teams and complex processes in Poland, as well as in international environment. He carried out many successful optimization, restructuring and large scale investment projects in listed companies, owned by the State Treasury and held by private shareholders.

Bernard Cichocki was in charge of the successful design and construction of Poland’s first Maritime Gas Reloading Terminal and of receiving the first gas tanker in the Polish history.

He is an engineer by education, holds an MBA degree. He graduated from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, from the Warsaw School of Economics, the Business Academy, the Canadian International Management Institute and the Kozminski University. He participated in numerous courses in management and trade in Poland and abroad.

Previously, he was professionally associated with the energy and fuel industry. He began his professional career in Gaspol S.A. (SHV Holding), where he went through the entire career path up to the position of Chief Engineer in Gaspol S.A. (1992-2001). He was part of the Baltic Pipe project, representing the Danish side. He was responsible for investment processes and modernization of Gaspol S.A. plants.

Vice President, a then the President of ORLEN GAZ Sp. z o.o. in Płock (2002-2010).

He managed the company BARTER S.A. He held the position of Country Manager in DAXIN Poland Sp. z o.o., part of the Daxin Petroleum Ltd. Group.

As the President of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. Bernard Cichocki signed one of the largest contracts in history of the Polish defence industry with the Armament Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Defence concerning delivery of four division fire modules “REGINA".
