Artillery battalion of 155 mm Self-Propelled Howitzers REGINA was passed to use for the 11th Mazurski Artillery Regiment of Węgorzewo.
November 30, 2012, the first Artillery battalion of 155 mm Self-Propelled Howitzers REGINA was officially handed over to 11th Mazurski Regiment of Artillery im. General Józef Bem in Węgorzewo. The delivered unit is made up of eight 155 mm howitzers KRAB, accompanied by command vehicles and other logistic vehicles.
The ceremony was organized on the training ground in the Centre of Artillery and Armament im. General Józef Bem in Torun, in the cradle of Polish Artillery. The event had a very lofty character, also associated with the feast of St. Barbara, the patron saint of artillerymen. It was attended, among others, by the Minister of National Defence Mr Tomasz Siemoniak. The celebrations were began with a concelebrated Mass, attended by field Bishop Joseph Guzdka.
